Reflections on my Collaboration With Konverjdans

My recent collaboration with Brooklyn-based contemporary dance group, Konverjdans was among my most rewarding. I was given great liberty by Tiffany Mangulabnan to compose a new solo piano work for her company, a partnership between three incredible female choreographers. The work was titled Sky-Shattered, Tiffany's inspiration based on images and themes from her favorite poetry. Both of our artistic views seem to perfectly and magically align, a rare and wonderful experience. The outcome of our work and the concert, Hypha, they produced on June 15th 2024 was a huge success. I look forward to future collaborations with Konverjdans.
